A senseless act of arson destroyed the Norfolk Curling Club during the early hours of December 18th, abruptly ending 50+ years of good camaraderie, good cheer and good curling. While we mourn the loss of irreplaceable treasures created and donated by our NCC founders, we will not allow our iconic history to go up in flames.
Since it’s founding in the 1950s, the Norfolk Curling Club has been a center of winter activity in the “Ice Box of Connecticut.” Among curlers up and down the East Coast and Canada, we are known as a convivial yet highly competitive destination for curling competitions.
The members of our Club are determined to come back and resume our place in Norfolk and the curling community as a whole. We are committed to reinstituting our leagues, our bonspiels and our educational programs for generations to come.
We are truly thankful for the outpouring of support and the generosity of the many offers we have received since the tragedy. If you wish to make a financial contribution to our rebuilding effort, attached is a Pledge Form with various options.
Otherwise, you can send a check now or pay online.
